I Was Late—Can I Still Pick Up My Bag?

Edited

Short answer: Usually yes—if the location is still open.

If you’re running behind schedule, don’t panic. Here’s what to do and what to expect based on the situation.

✅ If You’re Late but the Location Is Still Open

You can still pick up your bag! Just show your QR code or secure PIN when you arrive. There may be a brief delay if the location is busy or preparing to close, but your bags will be safely waiting.

Important: Items will be held for a maximum of 30 days. Your preferred payment method will be automatically charged each day until pickup.
Bags left beyond 30 days will be discarded as abandoned, unless you’ve arranged a long-term storage plan in advance.

🕐 If You Arrive After the Location Closes

  • Your bag cannot be retrieved until the next business day

  • You’ll need to return during regular operating hours

  • Additional storage fees may apply if your pickup falls outside your original reservation

  • You can attempt to contact the Drop Spot directly to coordinate pickup

    • ⚠️ After-hours pickup fees may apply if the host/staff must return to the location

    • Not all hosts are permitted to open outside posted hours due to security or insurance rules

🚫 If You Missed Both Check-In and Check-Out Times (No-Show)

This is considered a no-show, and:

  • Your booking becomes non-refundable

  • The reserved space is forfeited

  • We’ll work with the host to coordinate a safe, secure solution—if the bag is still on-site

💬 What to Do If You’re Running Late

  • Check your location’s hours via your confirmation email or "My Bookings"

  • Contact your Drop Spot directly or reach out to Luggage Drop support

    • We may be able to alert the host or suggest a solution

  • If the location has closed:

    • We’ll help you arrange a next-day pickup

    • In special circumstances, we may ship your bag to your destination (fees apply)

🧠 Pro Tip:

Always book a pickup window with a little extra time built in—especially if you’re catching a ride, a flight, or heading into a busy day.
