🧾 How Platform Fees Work
Safety & Security Fee – $0.95 per Bag
Every reservation includes a $0.95 per bag Safety & Security Fee. This covers:
DropGuard insurance for stored items
Safety monitoring and fraud protection
Platform maintenance and booking tools
Secure QR/PIN check-in tech
Host and Traveler support
This fee is automatically deducted before revenue is split.
💸 Commission Split
After the Safety & Security Fee is deducted, the remaining amount is shared between you and Luggage Drop according to your Host agreement.
For example, on a $7.95 bag:
$0.95 goes to the Safety & Security Fee
The remaining $7.00 is split 50/50
You earn $3.50 per bag
Some Hosts may qualify for a higher split based on location, volume, or specialty partnerships.
