As a Host on the Luggage Drop platform, you’re more than a storage provider — you’re a key part of a traveler’s journey. To keep our community safe, professional, and dependable, we ask all Hosts to follow a clear set of expectations.
These standards ensure a consistent experience for Travelers and protect the integrity of your Drop Spot and our platform as a whole.
Expectations for All Hosts
1. Provide a safe, secure environment for all stored items
Bags must be stored in non-public, staff-only areas
Spaces should be clean, dry, and free from hazards
2. Be on time and available during posted hours
Only accept check-ins and check-outs during your availability window
If your hours change, update them in the Host Dashboard immediately
3. Always verify each booking
Only accept bags with a valid reservation and payment
Use the QR code or secure PIN to confirm each Traveler’s identity
Never accept off-platform bookings or cash drop-offs
4. Treat Travelers with respect
Greet each customer with professionalism
Avoid any discriminatory, aggressive, or inappropriate behavior
Provide clear, friendly communication throughout the booking
5. Keep accurate records
Mark check-ins and check-outs in the Dashboard in real time
Report no-shows, damages, or issues as soon as possible
Maintain clear labeling and tracking of bags
6. Protect Traveler privacy and property
Never open or tamper with stored items
Do not share Traveler information with outside parties
Only release items to the correct person with verified credentials
Actions That May Lead to Suspension or Removal
Accepting bags without an official reservation
Charging Travelers directly or accepting cash
Failing to store bags securely or losing items
Repeated last-minute cancellations or unavailability
Disrespectful or inappropriate behavior toward Travelers or staff
Refusing service based on race, nationality, gender identity, religion, disability, or any other protected status
Luggage Drop takes community standards seriously. We investigate all reports thoroughly and may suspend or remove any Host who violates platform policies.
